Registered Nurse – Full Time

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) will oversee daily nursing operations within a long‑term care facility, ensuring that all care delivered meets federal, state and local standards. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the RN plays a pivotal role in maintaining high‑quality resident care and supporting the nursing team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Assist the Director of Nursing in directing nursing services and developing/updating policies and procedures.
• Maintain current reference materials (e.g., PDRs, regulations) at nursing stations.
• Ensure all nursing staff adhere to the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Prepare written and oral reports for the Director regarding nursing operations.
• Participate in quality‑assurance programs, facility surveys, and inspections.
• Review and update resident discharge plans and coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
• Lead meetings with nursing and support personnel to plan departmental services and programs.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in long‑term care or similar healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state and local nursing regulations.
• Ability to supervise staff and develop written policies and procedures.
• Effective communication skills for reporting to leadership and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams.
