Reliability Maintenance Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused leader to head the Reliability Maintenance Engineering function at an Amazon fulfillment site in Mexico. The manager will be the site’s engineering point of contact, responsible for safety, statutory compliance and high equipment availability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the maintenance engineering team, own annual reporting and mentor direct reports.
• Partner with Safety, Environmental, Sustainability and Site Leadership to implement and audit Amazon and statutory compliance programs.
• Work with recruitment to fill headcount, including apprentices and graduates.
• Apply Global Engineering standards, drive continuous improvement and oversee preventative maintenance programmes.
• Maintain equipment failure contingency plans, coordinate rehearsals and ensure rapid resolution of breakdowns.
• Collaborate with Site Management, Finance and Global Engineering to plan future growth, upgrades and new equipment roll‑outs.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading maintenance or reliability engineering teams in an industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of safety, environmental and statutory compliance requirements.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with site leadership, finance and global engineering groups.
• Excellent communication and mentorship skills.
