Remote Accountant – AP & Month-End Close (LATAM)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to own our accounts payable process and lead month‑end close activities. This newly created, fully remote position allows you to shape the finance function within a fast‑moving eCommerce environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end accounts payable (AP) process.
• Lead month‑end close activities, including accruals and adjustments.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reconciliations.
• Track and reconcile inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and account reviews.
• Ensure all financial records comply with US GAAP standards.
• Support internal and external audit processes.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
• At least 1 year in a direct‑to‑consumer (DTC) or eCommerce environment.
• Strong command of US GAAP principles.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data cleaning).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication (C1/C2 level).
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, experience with multi‑channel revenue streams, background supporting audits.
