Remote Finance Controller – Biotech Startup

About the role

We are seeking a Remote Finance Controller to join an early‑stage biotechnology company specializing in stem‑cell banking. The role is fully remote for candidates in LATAM or the Philippines, with required overlap with US Eastern business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cash reconciliation across QuickBooks Online, Authorize.net, and ACH transactions.
• Support month‑end close and prepare financial reports in partnership with a fractional CFO.
• Own and improve the recurring billing and failed‑payment recovery process for annual storage fees.
• Provide financial oversight of lab inventory and cost of goods sold.
• Integrate data from CRM, accounting, and payment systems ensuring accuracy across the stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on financial operations experience, including transaction matching and month‑end close.
• Minimum 2 years as the primary finance operator in a company with fewer than 50 employees.
• Fluent English (C1+ CEFR) for direct collaboration with US‑based leadership.
• Proven ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
