SAP Basis Consultant

About the role

Syntax, a leading Managed Cloud Provider, is looking for an experienced SAP Basis Consultant to join its team in San Andres Cholula. You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and optimisation of the SAP technical landscape, ensuring high availability, performance and security for mission‑critical ERP applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain SAP systems such as ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO and Solution Manager.
• Perform system copies, client copies, refreshes and manage SAP transports following change‑management procedures.
• Monitor and tune system performance, database parameters and memory usage.
• Apply Support Packages, kernel upgrades and OSS notes; manage patches and upgrades.
• Provide system monitoring, troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis for SAP‑related incidents.
• Administer underlying databases (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and ensure backup/recovery strategies.
• Manage user administration, roles and authorisations while meeting security and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network and application teams to guarantee high system availability.
• Participate in upgrade and migration projects, including cloud and S/4HANA migrations.
• Offer on‑call support and resolve incidents within SLA timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 3–7 years of experience as an SAP Basis Administrator or Consultant.
• Proven experience with SAP installation, configuration and performance tuning.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and communication skills.
