Senior Associate Accounting & Reporting – Revenue

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to support the US Revenue team, ensuring accurate financial reporting and execution of revenue‑related accounting activities. The role focuses on rebates, discounts and revenue recognition, working closely with Accounts Receivable and cross‑functional stakeholders in a hybrid Mexico City environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end close activities, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations related to revenue.
• Manage accounting processes for rebates, discounts and revenue transactions.
• Partner with Accounts Receivable and US‑based stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting.
• Perform variance analysis, identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and internal controls.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
• Take full ownership of assigned processes and deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in Record‑to‑Report, General Ledger, or Revenue Accounting.
• Experience with rebates, discounts, or revenue‑related processes (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS or US GAAP).
• Advanced English proficiency.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, data analysis).
• SAP or similar ERP system.
• Power BI or Tableau (BI tools).
