Senior Associate – Accounting & Reporting (USA Support)

About the role

Alcon is looking for a detail‑oriented Senior Associate to join its Finance team in Mexico City. The role focuses on accounting and reporting support for the United States operations, ensuring compliance, accurate record‑keeping, and timely financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with financial transaction recording standards, including general ledger, cash payments/collections and tax transactions.
• Control and reconcile balance‑sheet, P&L and bank accounts on a regular basis.
• Prepare accounting reports and schedules for management reporting, compliance filing, consolidation, cash‑flow and budgeting.
• Support cost accounting, budgeting activities and manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit and collections.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Advanced English proficiency and solid analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with accounting software, specifically SAP.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
