Senior Data Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer II to design and maintain secure, scalable data infrastructure that powers global health‑focused solutions. In this role you will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure data is accurate, well‑structured, and ready for analysis, supporting both internal decision‑making and customer insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data orchestration and transformation pipelines.
• Ensure reliable delivery of high‑quality data for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and promote coding and technical standards.
• Partner with DevOps to automate deployments using Infrastructure as Code.
• Build reusable frameworks and modular components with Airflow.
• Document best practices and facilitate knowledge sharing.
• Enhance platform reliability and scalability through logging, monitoring, and observability.
• Identify platform gaps, support DataOps initiatives, and incorporate user feedback.

Required profile

• Proven experience with modern data tools such as Airflow, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Ability to develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Python, SQL, or Jinja.
• Understanding of SDLC and familiarity with DataOps and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile or iterative development environments.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Knowledge of secure, cost‑effective cloud‑based data solutions.
• Awareness of data governance, privacy, and security principles.
• Willingness to work onsite twice a week at the Reforma office in Mexico City.
