Senior Regulation & Compliance Engineer

About the role

The Senior Regulation & Compliance Engineer will lead the design and commercialization of products while ensuring strict adherence to industrial safety, nuclear quality, and functional‑safety standards. This role operates independently across multiple phases of the product design process and collaborates closely with internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive engineering concepts that are innovative, cost‑effective, and meet all stakeholder requirements.
• Manage the full product realization process, from design reviews to verification and validation.
• Support project managers in preparing accurate technical proposals, staffing plans, budgets, and schedules.
• Communicate technical matters clearly via teleconference, email, and in‑person meetings.
• Uphold Plexus Core Values and mentor team members, focusing on succession planning and development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience with industrial safety regulations, high‑power safety, ATEX/NPFA 70E, rail transport safety, and ASME NQA‑1 nuclear quality assurance.
• Proven experience in safety assessments, functional‑safety standards (ARP 4761, IEC 61508), product verification, validation, QMS, test case development, DFMEA, risk assessment, design controls, and cybersecurity audits.
