Senior SMT Process Engineer

About the role

Honeywell is seeking a Senior SMT Process Engineer to lead the development and optimization of surface‑mount technology (SMT) processes at its Ciudad Juárez facility. Reporting to the Engineering Process Supervisor, you will work the 2nd shift on‑site, driving operational excellence and ensuring high‑quality electronic assemblies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and refine SMT process steps, including solder paste printing, component placement, reflow profiling, and inspection.
• Troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues to improve yield, quality, and throughput.
• Collaborate with design, quality, and manufacturing teams to integrate process improvements.
• Utilize statistical process control (SPC) and failure analysis to maintain process stability.
• Program SMT equipment, run process simulations, and manage quality systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electromechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in SMT process engineering or comparable manufacturing engineering roles.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Experience in high‑mix, high‑volume electronics manufacturing environments.

• SMT assembly processes, solder paste printing, reflow soldering, and inspection techniques.
