Senior Tax Specialist – Mexico (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to lead tax compliance for our operations in Mexico. The role combines hands‑on compliance work with strategic advisory, helping the business make informed decisions while ensuring full adherence to local tax laws.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all Mexican tax obligations, including VAT, income tax, withholding taxes and local taxes.
• Assess tax implications of new projects, transactions and commercial initiatives.
• Identify tax risks, propose mitigation strategies and support audits.
• Manage interactions with the Mexican tax authority (SAT) and coordinate external advisors when needed.
• Review tax calculations, filings and reconciliations for accuracy.
• Monitor legislative changes and lead implementation of required adjustments.
• Support transfer‑pricing documentation and inter‑company transactions.
• Improve tax processes and internal controls to strengthen governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of progressive corporate tax experience, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Advanced/Fluent English.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax legislation.
• Experience handling complex tax matters.
• Solid understanding of accounting‑tax interaction.
• Transfer‑pricing documentation expertise.
• Inter‑company transaction handling.
