Shift Lead

About the role

The Shift Lead is responsible for ensuring smooth store operations during assigned shifts, including opening and closing the store, handling cash, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. This role acts as the on‑site leader when store management is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Open and close the store, perform system start‑ups, and manage cash handling procedures.
• Process product returns, order voids, customer refunds, and cash drops to the safe.
• Welcome customers, address inquiries, resolve issues, and model best‑practice customer service.
• Manage vendor deliveries, including opening the back door and coordinating with the warehouse.
• Maintain accurate inventory counts, pricing, and signage across all departments.
• Assist with visual merchandising, promotional displays, and seasonal resets.
• Support bookkeeping tasks such as cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
• Ensure store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with food‑handling and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a retail environment, preferably with supervisory duties.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow operational procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Capability to handle cash accurately and responsibly.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including opening and closing hours.
