Site Tool Room Manager

About the role

OPmobility is seeking a Site Tool Room Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of machining and mold‑repair activities across its manufacturing site. The role ensures equipment performance, minimizes downtime, and supports prototype development while fostering a safe, continuous‑improvement culture.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule machining operations, mold repairs, and tooling projects.
• Control tooling costs and coordinate external supplier and design projects.
• Reduce production downtime and drive equipment and team productivity improvements.
• Conduct annual performance reviews, enforce safety policies, and lead monthly safety meetings.
• Supervise technicians, oversee mold repair tasks, and manage production equipment maintenance.
• Provide support for prototypes, troubleshoot issues, and oversee design installations and modifications.
• Train staff on mold repair, machining techniques, plant procedures, and tool‑room processes.
• Collaborate with Production, Logistics, and Engineering to align tooling needs and machine maintenance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives and mentor emerging talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proven experience in manufacturing and/or maintenance of plastic injection molds for automotive applications.
