Software Engineer, Education Account Linking

About the role

Google is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Education Account Linking team. You will help users connect their consumer accounts with their education accounts, enabling seamless access to learning tools across devices.

Key responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on code to ensure best practices, testability, and efficiency.
• Maintain and adapt documentation and educational content based on product updates and user feedback.
• Triage, debug, and resolve product or system issues, analyzing impacts on hardware, network, or service quality.
• Design and build new software systems covering data processing, infrastructure, deployment, and related services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of software development experience (or 1 year with an advanced degree).
• 2 years of full‑stack development experience, including back‑end work in Java, Python, Golang, or C++ and front‑end work with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science or related field, strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms, and experience building accessible technologies.
