Software Engineer II – Design System

About the role

Trimble is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Modus Design System team. You will create and maintain the front‑end design system that powers hundreds of Trimble applications, using modern web technologies and AI‑native development processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑quality Modus Web Components with StencilJS and Tailwind CSS.
• Translate Figma designs into production‑ready code using the Modus MCP Server.
• Ensure components comply with WCAG 2.2 accessibility, internationalization (I18N) and responsive design standards.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and generate automated documentation with Storybook.
• Enforce best practices in Git version control, code reviews, and atomic design patterns.
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies to align technical work with project goals.

Required profile

• Experienced software engineer with a focus on front‑end component development.
• Strong understanding of design‑system principles and UI accessibility standards.
• Proven ability to work in an Agile environment and collaborate across teams.
