Solution Architect (AWS)

About the role

We are looking for a strategic, hands‑on Solution Architect to lead the design of end‑to‑end software systems for EPAM’s digital platform engineering projects. In this role you will translate high‑level business challenges into secure, scalable, and performant technical solutions while collaborating with product managers, analysts and engineering leads.

Key responsibilities

• Design robust, scalable, and secure architectures covering backend services, front‑end layers, databases, integrations and cloud infrastructure.
• Conduct proof‑of‑concepts and evaluate third‑party tools, APIs and frameworks to guide technology decisions.
• Make data‑driven choices on technology stacks based on evaluation outcomes.
• Establish architectural standards, design patterns and coding guidelines for development teams.
• Provide technical governance to ensure implementations align with the defined architecture.
• Work closely with product owners to turn business requirements into clear technical blueprints.
• Communicate complex architectural concepts to both technical developers and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Ensure designs address security, high availability, disaster recovery, performance and cost‑efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in lead, architect or coordinator roles.
• Experience leading a team of five or more employees.
• Participation in at least two full‑cycle projects or multiple phases of the development lifecycle.
• Proven track record as a Solution Architect, Technical Lead or Principal Engineer designing complex, distributed enterprise systems.
