Solutions Architect – Mexico

About the role

We are looking for a Solutions Architect to act as the primary technical partner for prospects and customers, collaborating with Sales throughout the full lifecycle—from qualifying requirements to production at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design reference architectures, data models, and ingestion/query patterns tailored to each customer’s use case and scale.
• Own and run technical proofs of concept and benchmarks, demonstrating ClickHouse’s performance and cost advantages.
• Partner with Account Executives to build technical account strategies, navigate procurement and security reviews, and close complex deals.
• Deliver technical presentations, demos, and workshops to engineers and C‑level stakeholders.
• Advise customers on schema design, query optimization, cluster sizing, replication, and migration from other databases.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams and create reusable assets such as demos and reference architectures.

Required profile

• Experience in a customer‑facing technical role (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Data Engineer, or Technical Consultant) at an infrastructure, database, or analytics company.
• Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts for both engineers and executives.
• Self‑starter who thrives in ambiguous environments and is comfortable influencing revenue outcomes.
• Willingness to travel periodically for customer visits, conferences, and team events.

Required skills

• SQL and analytical/OLAP databases (ClickHouse, Snowflake, BigQuery, Druid, Vertica, Redshift).
• Understanding of distributed systems fundamentals such as partitioning, replication, and consistency.
• Experience with streaming systems (Kafka) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
