Tax Affairs & Government Relations Specialist

About the role

The Tax Affairs & Government Relations Specialist will act as the primary resource on regulatory and tax matters for Charger Logistics. Based in Mexico City or working remotely, you will support the company’s interaction with legislators, regulators and internal stakeholders to protect and advance its business interests.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance on regulatory changes affecting products and policies.
• Prepare policy briefs, reports and presentations for senior management.
• Organise and facilitate stakeholder forums and meetings on upcoming legislation.
• Represent the company in external business meetings and legislative proceedings.
• Maintain databases tracking regulatory developments and ensure timely updates.
• Develop and maintain internal policies and programs to raise awareness of government regulations.
• Resolve moderately complex compliance issues independently and escalate higher‑risk matters.
• Advise management on regulatory and compliance requirements to ensure legal conformity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in law with a current license to practice.
• Minimum five years of experience in public affairs, preferably with SAT/Tax expertise.
• Experience in the transport or logistics sector is an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Proven managerial and negotiation abilities.
