Tax Associate

About the role

Greenberg Traurig is seeking a motivated and ambitious lawyer or accountant to join its Tax team in Mexico City. This mid‑level associate will focus on non‑contentious tax work, providing advisory services to both domestic and multinational clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver domestic and international tax planning advice.
• Support corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions from a tax perspective.
• Conduct transfer pricing analyses and related documentation.
• Provide general tax advisory services across a range of industries.
• Collaborate with local and global tax colleagues to address cross‑border tax issues.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of post‑qualification experience in tax advisory and consulting.
• Strong knowledge of domestic tax law and familiarity with international tax principles, including tax treaties.
• Ability to interpret complex tax and legal concepts and apply them commercially.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
• Law degree and/or accounting degree; admitted to practice as a lawyer and/or licensed CPA (or equivalent) as applicable.
