Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will be the primary tax authority for Omni Pontoque Resort at Punta de Mita, ensuring full compliance with Mexican tax obligations and supporting cross‑border operations in line with U.S. corporate tax policies. This role safeguards the organization against tax risk while optimizing fiscal outcomes within a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file all Mexican tax returns, including ISR, IVA, ISH, ISN, and provisional payments.
• Manage REPSE compliance and all labor‑related tax obligations under Mexican law.
• Calculate and oversee PTU (employee profit‑sharing) in strict compliance with Ley Federal del Trabajo and Ley del ISR.
• Validate tax withholdings on invoices, payroll, and service payments, ensuring CFDI 4.0 compliance and SAT timbrado processes.
• Coordinate IMSS, INFONAVIT, and SBC declarations with the Payroll function.
• Support and review tax treatment of cross‑border transactions, intercompany agreements, management fees, and royalties.
• Prepare and maintain transfer‑pricing documentation and country‑by‑country reporting.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of Mexican federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience handling corporate tax compliance for multinational hospitality or similar industries.
• Proven ability to liaise with SAT, external advisors, and U.S. corporate tax leadership.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in complex tax calculations.

• Understanding of IMSS, INFONAVIT, and SBC obligations.
