Tax Manager – Northern Cluster

About the role

The Tax Manager for the Northern Cluster at SC Johnson will lead all tax‑related activities across multiple countries, ensuring compliance while optimizing the company’s tax position. This role works closely with Finance, Legal and Global Tax teams to support business operations and align with the group’s tax strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with corporate income tax, VAT, withholding taxes and transfer‑pricing obligations in each Northern country.
• Oversee preparation and timely filing of statutory tax returns and manage electronic accounting requirements such as SAT reporting and CFDI compliance.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies, identify tax‑saving opportunities and advise on the tax impact of business transactions.
• Maintain transfer‑pricing documentation, coordinate intercompany transactions and support related audits.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities, manage audits, inquiries and disputes, and defend tax positions.
• Monitor legislative changes, assess impact and ensure strong internal controls (SOX compliance).
• Lead and develop the local tax team, manage external advisors and drive continuous improvement in tax processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Administration.
• 5+ years of tax experience, preferably in a multinational FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of Mexican tax laws and regulations; experience with other Northern Cluster jurisdictions is a plus.
