Technology Lead Backend – Java, Microservices, Kafka

About the role

We are looking for a Technology Lead Backend to join Infosys Mexico’s engineering team that powers a large‑scale, enterprise e‑commerce platform. The role focuses on designing and delivering high‑performance backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, GraphQL and Kafka, supporting critical business capabilities for a vast user base.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain scalable backend services with Java, Spring Boot and a microservices architecture.
• Build and extend REST and GraphQL APIs, integrating them with internal and external systems.
• Implement highly available, fault‑tolerant applications that meet e‑commerce performance requirements.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and production support.
• Collaborate with the Lead Engineering Manager and Engineering Director on architectural decisions and feature delivery.

Required profile

• Hands‑on senior software engineer with a strong track record of delivering complex backend solutions.
• Ability to quickly understand and analyse large, distributed systems.
• Passion for writing clean, high‑quality code and continuously improving technical skills.
• Experience working under demanding timelines in an agile environment.
