Test Engineer

About the role

Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, is looking for a Test Engineer. The role covers developing, implementing and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts for software applications and systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop automated test scripts using various testing frameworks.
• Conduct functional, integration and performance testing on software and systems.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and improve system functionality.
• Document test results, track defects and work with the development team to resolve issues.
• Take part in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python or C#.
• Testing frameworks and automation scripting.
