Toolroom Technician – CNC & Laser Equipment

About the role

The Toolroom Technician supports production by supplying, maintaining, and managing tooling for a range of high‑mix equipment, including Vipros/Laser, CNC mills and lathes, Haas routers and Thermwood machines. The role ensures efficient changeovers and optimal setup times while contributing to continuous improvement in a multinational engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review shift dispatches and track orders using the whiteboard system.
• Inspect and prepare tools, fixtures, and measuring equipment at the start and end of each shift.
• Supply and mount tools for Vipros/Laser, CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Haas Router, Thermwood and secondary operations according to the production plan.
• Maintain, organize, and control tool and fixture inventory.
• Perform tool maintenance, sharpening, repair, and replace damaged tools, generating requisitions as needed.
• Conduct TOGU II (stamping) machine maintenance.

Required profile

• Technical or high‑school diploma completed.
• At least 1 year of experience in a tooling or similar environment.
• Basic proficiency with Office suite for inventory and requisition management.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Vipros/Laser and AMADA machines.
• Experience with CNC Mill, CNC Lathe, Haas Router and Thermwood equipment.
• Familiarity with TOGU II (stamping) machine maintenance.
• Proficiency using measuring tools: Vernier calipers, tape measure, plug gauge, ring gauge, micrometer.
• Understanding of the SHVWIP system and ability to interpret technical drawings.
