About the role
Layer5 is seeking a UI Visual Designer to shape the visual experience of its cloud‑native products. You will work remotely, collaborating with engineers, product leads, and the community to create cohesive, brand‑aligned designs for multiple web platforms.
Key responsibilities
- Design and style web‑based interfaces, including page layouts, logos, color schemes, and brand kits.
- Create graphics and visual assets that support new site functionality across Layer5’s portfolio.
- Engage with users and community members to gather feedback and iterate on designs.
- Apply human‑centered design techniques to ensure usability and aesthetic consistency.
- Collaborate with visual programs and product teams to evolve design standards and aesthetics.
Required profile
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual design for web applications.
- Experience working in fast‑moving, open‑source or cloud‑native environments.
- Ability to incorporate community feedback into iterative design cycles.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
