VPS Leader

About the role

The VPS Leader will drive Valeo’s lean manufacturing initiatives across the plant, ensuring the Value Production System (VPS) standards are applied consistently. You will coordinate training, lead workshops, and support continuous improvement to achieve higher productivity and lower waste.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and deliver training on 5S, TPM, SMED, Hoshin, STOP SCRAP, VSA, Kanban, continuous flow and other lean tools.
• Assess compliance with VPS standards and promote VPS principles throughout the site.
• Conduct daily meetings with the internal VPS network and perform annual competence appraisals.
• Validate project specifications, support the Site/Plant manager in continuous‑improvement initiatives and maintain the VPS master plan.
• Coach engineers and technicians on‑the‑job (OJT), lead pilot workshops and ensure proper audit of VPS tools.
• Prepare the site budget related to VPS targets, build daily monitoring tools and provide lean reporting.
• Facilitate the weekly VPS committee, draft agendas and minutes.

Required profile

• Experience as an APU VPS Engineer or Technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to organise training, lead workshops and conduct audits.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
