Windows System Administrator – Level 2

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Windows System Administrator (Level 2) to join its global technology team. You will be responsible for the design, deployment, and support of Windows server environments across large‑scale enterprise data centres, working in a 24 × 7 rotational shift model.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server OS (2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019) and related roles/features.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and PKI services.
• Administer Microsoft Clustering Services and Remote Desktop Services.
• Create, clone, and configure virtual machines; support virtualization platforms.
• Deploy, administer, and troubleshoot HP C7000 blade/enclosure hardware, including OA, iLO, SIM, and OpenView tools.
• Implement and support Nutanix HCI architecture.
• Perform file and print services management, storage (SAN/NAS) configuration, and server patching via WSUS or SCCM.
• Monitor system performance, conduct tuning/optimization, and participate in service‑improvement initiatives.
• Provide on‑call support and work with Change & Problem Management tools.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on Windows administration experience in large enterprises.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities; self‑motivated and proactive learner.
• Willingness to work in a 24 × 7 environment with rotational shifts and on‑call duties.
