Accountant – Full-time On-site Role

About the role

This full‑time, on‑site Accountant position is based in Azcapotzalco, Mexico City. You will be responsible for managing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate record‑keeping, and supporting the company’s budgeting and reporting processes.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile transactions, prepare journal entries, and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Assist with tax calculations, filings, and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver financial analysis and respond to inquiries.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to strengthen financial controls.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management.
• Proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation processes.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and basic financial analysis.
• Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and audit support practices.
• Comfort with accounting software and productivity tools such as ERP systems and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
• Prior experience in public or corporate accounting is preferred.
