Accountant – Global Retail & Consumer Goods

About the role

Orveon is seeking an Accountant to join its finance team supporting a global carve‑out entity. The role offers exposure to end‑to‑end finance processes, from journal entry posting to FP&A, and provides opportunities to work with finance leadership across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, analyze, and post journal entries; execute month‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis under US GAAP.
• Support cash, prepaid, accrual, and general accounting functions.
• Oversee fixed‑asset and capital‑in‑progress accounting on a global basis.
• Assist in compiling documentation and variance explanations for external audits.
• Identify process inefficiencies and recommend solutions to improve efficiency.
• Participate in ad‑hoc accounting and finance projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
• 2‑4+ years of general accounting experience, preferably in retail, wholesale, or consumer‑goods environments.
• High intellectual curiosity, honesty, and strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on accuracy and detail.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
