About the role
Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Accountant I to join its Finance team. In this role you will manage core financial operations, collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, and help ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Execute month‑end close processes, prepare journal entries, and perform account reconciliations.
- Manage tax obligations including monthly taxes, VAT refunds, DIOT, ISN, payroll tax compliance, and related reporting.
- Support system automation and continuous process‑improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to regulatory compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of accounting experience in a maquiladora plant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
- Commitment to integrity and professional ethics.

- Microsoft Excel
- BlackLine (preferred)
