Accountant III

About the role

Global Payments is seeking an Accountant III to join its finance team. In this role you will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain the integrity of accounting records, and support the company’s global commerce operations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive accurate and timely financial reporting through month‑end close activities and reconciliations.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations, identify variances, resolve discrepancies and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Partner with business units to improve financial visibility and operational understanding.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen controls and increase efficiency.
• Prepare high‑quality journal entries and financial analyses to support decision‑making.
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end audit processes with thorough documentation and transparency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of public accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing financial information, solving complex problems and applying sound judgment.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities across teams.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience using Oracle Financial software (preferred).
