Accountant III

About the role

Global Payments is seeking an Accountant III to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and support the company’s global commerce operations. You will work with cross‑functional teams to deliver accurate financial data, strengthen controls, and contribute to audit success.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, perform reconciliations, and support month‑end close activities.
• Prepare and review general ledger account reconciliations, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Partner with business units to improve financial visibility and operational understanding.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and control.
• Produce high‑quality journal entries, financial analyses, and reporting packages.
• Assist with quarter‑end and year‑end audit preparation and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Knowledge of public accounting principles and financial reporting fundamentals.
• Experience analyzing financial information and solving complex problems.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using Oracle Financial software (preferred).
