Accounting Manager – Cluster Lead

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead accounting activities across all countries in the cluster, ensuring compliance with internal and external financial policies, statutory and tax requirements. This role also heads the accounting team, handling recruitment, development, performance management and coaching.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close and year‑end processes, guaranteeing accurate P&L and balance‑sheet reporting.
• Drive the annual budgeting and monthly S&OP projections, delivering timely and reliable forecasts.
• Act as the primary liaison with the Shared Services Center for Treasury, A/P, R2R and General Ledger matters.
• Prepare and submit statutory filings and coordinate with outsourced statutory agencies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including SOX testing.
• Ensure corporate and local ledger compliance with finance policies.
• Provide finance support for administrative functions, payments processing, intercompany, and non‑inventory PO handling.
• Oversee compliance processes for trade, fixed assets, intercompany, AP, insurances and legal matters.
• Serve as legal representative for Mexico and Costa Rica on non‑labor issues.
• Manage professional service vendors and support the Toluca plant and distribution center.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in accounting and finance leadership, preferably within a multi‑country cluster.
• Strong people‑management skills, including recruiting, team development, performance management and coaching.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and enforce internal controls.
• Excellent problem‑solving, adaptability and process‑improvement mindset.
• Ability to work across cultures and build effective teams.

Required skills

• USGAAP, IFRS and Mexican NIF accounting standards.
• Proficiency with SAP, BPC, Power BI, DocuSign and Microsoft Office.
• Strong internal‑controls and financial reporting capabilities.
