Advanced Embedded Software Engineer – Braking Systems

About the role

Join Bosch's automotive division to develop embedded software for active safety products, primarily brake systems. You will work on the full software lifecycle, from requirements to testing, in a collaborative, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, configure, test and document embedded software for brake system applications.
• Implement requirements, design specifications, and coding tasks.
• Maintain and debug existing software, manage configurations and perform static code analysis.
• Support vehicle testing and hardware debugging.
• Integrate application software and track integration activities.

Required profile

• Basic understanding of automotive braking systems and vehicle dynamics.
• More than 4 years of experience in automotive embedded software, preferably in braking systems.
• Proficiency in C programming and model‑based development (Matlab/Simulink, ASCET).
• Ability to debug electronic hardware and test vehicles.
• Experience with control theory, system engineering and functional software design.
• Knowledge of CAN, LIN and basic UDS protocols.
• Familiarity with V‑model, ASPICE and software requirements analysis tools (e.g., DOORS).
• Hands‑on experience with CANoe, CANalyzer, QAC/MISRA and functional safety (ISO 26262).
• Comfortable working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, CI).
• Fluent English and strong teamwork and communication skills.
