Android Engineer

About the role

Plan A Technologies is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to help scale and modernize its mobile platform. You will work in a fast‑paced, startup‑like environment, collaborating with iOS, backend, and platform teams to deliver high‑quality mobile experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Collaborate with iOS, DevOps, and backend teams to ensure consistent, high‑quality user experiences.
• Participate in architecture discussions for cross‑platform development and shared business logic.
• Improve build reliability, performance, and scalability together with platform teams.
• Conduct code reviews, write technical documentation, and promote best practices.
• Experiment with AI‑assisted tools for development, testing, and debugging.
• Lead complex projects from definition through delivery, evaluating technical trade‑offs.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Android development experience.
• 6+ years of professional mobile development experience.
• BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional, product‑driven teams.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
