Android Software Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a motivated Android Software Engineer to join its mobile engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain native Android applications using a modern Kotlin‑based tech stack, collaborating closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high‑performance native Android apps with Kotlin.
• Implement responsive UI/UX following Material Design guidelines.
• Integrate apps with backend microservices via RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; conduct code reviews.
• Create unit and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso) to ensure stability.
• Analyze and optimise app performance, battery usage, and memory.
• Support release cycles and publish updates to Google Play Store.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in native Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and deep knowledge of the Android SDK.
• Familiarity with modern architecture patterns (MVVM, MVI, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with Dependency Injection (Hilt/Dagger) and Coroutines/Flow.
• Comfortable with Android Studio, Gradle, Git, and Agile/Scrum environments.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
