Area Manager, Last Mile

About the role

Amazon is looking for an Area Manager to lead last‑mile operations at one of its Delivery Stations. You will oversee the end‑to‑end delivery of Amazon orders to customers, working in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment and collaborating with multiple Delivery Service Providers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of a Delivery Station, ensuring high volume and complex order fulfillment.
• Maintain relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) and drive operational metrics.
• Present performance data to senior leadership and close gaps between goals and results.
• Hire, develop, and retain talent, creating a comprehensive talent plan for the site.
• Partner with internal teams such as Transport & Sortation, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, and Engineering.
• Lead process‑improvement initiatives using Lean tools and data analysis.
• Ensure safety, security, and loss‑prevention procedures are followed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience managing large, complex operations in a logistics or transportation environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑development capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and influence cross‑functional teams.
