About the role

We are seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to provide expert tax guidance on new transactions, products and regulatory changes. The role involves reviewing tax calculations, ensuring compliance and supporting risk mitigation across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tax advisory on new business initiatives, client inquiries and emerging tax regulations.
• Design and execute thorough reviews of withholding tax and VAT calculations, identifying deviations and ensuring accuracy.
• Assess and improve controls related to tax processes (2LOD), including informative returns such as FATCA, CRS, tax receipts, Repse, Carta Porte and CFDI.
• Raise, report and follow up on identified issues, coordinating remediation actions with business functions and senior tax leadership.
• Collaborate with UK tax and risk teams to monitor, administer and report the tax risk map for Mexico, aligning with global policies.
• Drive automation and optimization of tax review processes to reduce manual effort, mitigate penalties and deliver strategic value.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with extensive experience in tax advisory and compliance.
• Strong understanding of Mexican tax regulations, including withholding taxes, VAT, FATCA, CRS and related reporting obligations.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally, manage risk and lead remediation initiatives.
