Assistant Buyer

About the role

The Assistant Buyer will support the buying team by managing product purchases, monitoring performance, and ensuring the right merchandise is allocated across Vans stores and outlets.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill buys in the system according to the sales plan and budget for 42 full‑price stores and 8 outlets.
• Review daily, weekly and monthly product performance to drive healthy sell‑through (ST%) and increase sales.
• Provide insights to the allocation team to place products in the correct segmentation.
• Generate demand in the system based on monthly budgets and plans.
• Analyze weekly sales reports, KPIs and performance metrics.
• Participate in pre‑line, pre‑season forecast reviews and monthly merchandise planning.
• Support product development plans and collaborate with Allocation on performance strategies.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a buying role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Administration or a related field.
• Strong analytical abilities and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Detail‑oriented and organized.
• Team‑player with the ability to build effective relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
