Assistant Controller

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Controller to support the global accounting operations of a fast‑growing technology and fintech SaaS company. The role will oversee the general ledger, drive month‑end and quarter‑end close processes, and prepare internal financial statements while collaborating with FP&A, Operations, and Revenue teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage global payroll across platforms such as JustWorks, Remote.com/EOR, Deel, CONTPAQi, and Swiss pension systems.
• Oversee treasury and cash functions, including bank reconciliations, FX management (USD/MXN/CHF), credit‑card reviews, and intercompany wire transfers.
• Execute comprehensive month‑end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and intercompany eliminations.
• Ensure multinational compliance for Swiss AHV/BVG and Mexican SAT/CFDI, manage intercompany loans, and support audit data requests.
• Support audit processes and help implement, optimize, and standardize financial systems, revenue recognition, subscription billing, and deferred revenue tracking.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience as an Assistant Controller, Senior Accountant, or similar role in a technology, SaaS, or high‑growth environment.
• Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting under US GAAP or IFRS.
• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and financial analysis tools, focusing on SQL, PowerQuery, and Python.
• Excellent collaboration skills and ability to present financial data to non‑finance stakeholders.
