Atlassian Consultant

About the role

Modus is seeking an experienced Atlassian Consultant to join its fully‑remote Atlassian Practice. You will help Fortune‑500 and other forward‑thinking organisations modernise collaboration, service management and engineering workflows across the Atlassian ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops to define business outcomes, tool architecture and process alignment.
• Configure, administer and optimise Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence and related Marketplace applications.
• Plan and execute cloud migrations, including Data Center‑to‑Cloud transitions, app assessments and data clean‑up.
• Design and implement Enterprise Service Management processes such as Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Create training and enablement materials to drive long‑term platform adoption.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with identity providers (Okta, Azure AD, SAML) and developer ecosystems (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Bamboo, CI/CD pipelines).

Required profile

• 5+ years of consulting or enterprise Atlassian administration experience.
• Proven track record delivering cloud migrations, process transformations or large‑scale tool implementations.
• Strong facilitation, written and verbal communication skills for client workshops.
• Ability to manage multiple parallel engagements and shifting client priorities.

• Atlassian Marketplace applications, Atlassian Data Center, Atlassian Cloud.
• Atlassian Guard, Atlassian Intelligence, AI‑enabled automation.
• Atlassian Forge (custom Jira/Confluence apps).
• Scripting with Groovy, Python and REST APIs.
• Identity management integrations: Okta, Azure AD, SAML‑based SSO.
• Integration with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Bamboo and CI/CD platforms.
