About the role

Stripe is looking for an AutoFile Specialist, Tax to own high‑risk, cross‑functional escalations that lack a clear playbook. You will investigate complex anomalies, uncover root causes, and coordinate with multiple teams to prevent recurrence, helping the Complex Tax Operations team scale its capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own high‑risk, cross‑functional escalations without a predefined process.
• Ensure timely follow‑through and closure on issues, decisions, and action items.
• Investigate recurring issues, identify root causes, and drive remediation.
• Partner with product, operations, and leadership to remove blockers and prevent repeat failures.
• Provide visibility into friction points, risks, and remediation strategies.
• Support operational readiness and respond quickly to external changes.
• Help improve operator and user experience through prevention, mitigation, and resolution.
