Automation Project Manager

About the role

ETAP is looking for an experienced Automation Project Manager to lead the delivery of a large‑scale digital twin implementation of an Energy Management System for utility clients across Latin America. The role is based in Mexico City and operates in a hybrid work model.

Key responsibilities

• Own full contract execution, ensuring all milestones, deliverables and acceptance criteria are met according to schedule.
• Manage the project work plan, aligning engineering, software and client teams to meet scope, schedule and quality commitments.
• Control payment milestones and cash flow, linking deliverables to contract payment schedules.
• Lead deployment readiness and execution, overseeing operational validation, defect resolution and final acceptance.
• Drive risk management, identifying and mitigating schedule, technical and contractual risks.
• Act as primary client interface, leading status meetings, handling escalations and managing expectations through FAT, SAT and Go‑Live phases.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, modeling, software, QA, training) to ensure contractual and technical compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑phase engineering projects in a contract‑driven environment.
• Strong execution focus with ability to balance client expectations and internal delivery discipline.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, especially during testing and acceptance phases.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior technical teams while leading overall project delivery.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ETAP digital twin platform and Energy Management System concepts.
