AV Technician & Helpdesk Support (Remote/Travel)

About the role

Opal Group is seeking an AV Technician & Helpdesk Support Specialist to manage on‑site audio‑visual equipment at virtual and live conferences and to provide remote technical assistance to staff. The role blends event‑focused AV setup with ongoing helpdesk support, requiring a self‑starter who enjoys both fast‑paced live environments and virtual troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, test, and operate AV equipment during live events, ensuring high‑quality audio and video delivery.
• Interact directly with clients on‑site, delivering professional customer service and maintaining a business‑appropriate appearance.
• Provide remote helpdesk support, including software installations, updates, and basic troubleshooting for end users.
• Assist new users with onboarding, technical orientation, and configuration of Salesforce Experience Cloud.
• Communicate clearly with staff to resolve technical issues and stay current with helpdesk best practices.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. entry visa.
• Proven experience as an AV Technician and/or Helpdesk Support Specialist.
• High school diploma or GED; college degree preferred.
• Advanced English verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, customer‑service mindset, and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel approximately once per month.

Required skills

• Salesforce Experience Cloud (site configuration, user management, troubleshooting).
• AV equipment setup and operation.
• Software installation and basic troubleshooting.
