Backend Software Developer

About the role

IBM Infrastructure & Technology is seeking a Backend Software Developer to design, develop, test, and deliver software components that power resilient, future‑ready solutions. You will work in an Agile, collaborative environment, translating stakeholder requirements into high‑quality code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, and unit‑test component‑level backend solutions using Python, Go, or Java.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in Agile ceremonies to understand requirements and deliver functional software.
• Debug and resolve customer‑reported issues by developing and testing code fixes.
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in testing and delivery of offerings built on leading‑edge or proven technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with back‑end development and component‑level software design.
• Exposure to hardware programming or troubleshooting within larger solutions.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative team environments.
