BPA Manager – R&D Centers of Excellence

About the role

Alcon is seeking a BPA Manager to support the R&D Finance Team within its Centers of Excellence. Based in Mexico City with a hybrid work model, you will drive analytical support, variance analysis and financial reporting for R&D operations, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting and risk assessment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end close for COE functions, providing clear explanations and actions.
• Manage forecasting, annual budgeting, strategic planning and performance management processes.
• Act as finance liaison with COE functional leads and the Clinical EUMDR team, overseeing CRO spend and contract approvals.
• Own the CapEx process for EUMDR, ensuring proper accounting, reporting and control.
• Utilize financial systems (ASPIRE, APMR, SAP, BI) to perform detailed financial analysis and maintain data integrity.
• Identify and lead process improvements to create value.
• Support the Director of Finance on special projects and ad‑hoc analyses.

Required profile

• BS in Finance or related field with 5+ years experience, or MS with 2+ years experience.
• 3‑5 years in a similar finance role, preferably within a multinational matrix organization.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability and comfort working in a demanding, resource‑constrained environment.
