Buyer – Aviation Supply Chain

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Buyer to support our aviation supply chain operations. You will be responsible for procuring aircraft parts, managing inventory data in SAP, and ensuring timely delivery to support maintenance and AOG requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Procure aircraft parts and create Material Serial Numbers (MSNs) when inventory is unavailable.
• Maintain accurate procurement and inventory records in SAP.
• Order from distribution warehouses and external suppliers following Service Recovery SOPs.
• Process Removal/Install transactions and manage returns of unused inventory (“06 Material”).
• Resolve issues identified in In‑Transit and Stationary Tracking Reports.
• Use aircraft manuals (IPC, CMN, ER/A, drawings, service bulletins) to identify alternate part solutions and validate effectivity.
• Review 8130 tags for compliance.
• Receive and stage AA kits, Pre‑pull/FK1, and Non‑routine/FK2 inventory.
• Support SOP development, training documentation, and quality audits.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in aviation supply chain, MRO, or aircraft materials management.
• Proficiency with SAP for inventory, procurement, or materials management.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft parts procurement, inventory control, and material planning.
• Familiarity with AOG processes, MRO operations, and aircraft maintenance environments.
• Ability to interpret aircraft technical documentation, including IPC, service bulletins, engineering drawings, and 8130 tags.
