Carrier Transportation Manager – Air Middle‑Mile Operations

About the role

The Carrier Transportation Manager will own the synchronization of ground movements with flight schedules for MX Air ATS, ensuring reliable connectivity between origin airports and delivery stations across Mexico. You will work closely with Network Planning, Air Hubs, Ground Transportation, AMZL and ROC to align first‑mile and last‑mile logistics with airline operations.

Key responsibilities

• Synchronize all first‑mile (FC→airport) and last‑mile (airport→delivery station) movements with flight schedules.
• Execute middle‑mile transportation mechanisms to meet defined cutoff windows and minimize missed flights.
• Drive timely injection of shipments into delivery stations to support Next Day and Same Day delivery performance.
• Partner with Network Planning, Air Hubs, Ground Carriers, AMZL and ROC to translate planned flows into executable movements.
• Identify and resolve execution gaps such as late arrivals, misaligned CPTs, and dwell time at airport nodes.
• Manage ground‑related disruptions, coordinating recovery actions with ROC and operations teams.
• Improve air capacity utilization by enforcing disciplined ground execution.
• Maintain and reduce Cost per Shipment through efficient timing and reduced missed connections.
• Track and analyze performance metrics (on‑time airport arrival, missed connections, injection timing, dwell time, CPS) to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with ability to interpret logistics performance data.
• Proven experience coordinating complex transportation networks, preferably in air or ground logistics.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams (Network Planning, Air Hubs, Ground Carriers, AMZL, ROC).
• Detail‑oriented approach to ensure precise alignment of schedules and movements.
