Client Engineer

About the role

As a Client Engineer on Zillow’s Collaboration Tools team, you will support and evolve the suite of internal communication and productivity platforms that keep the company connected and efficient. The role is fully remote and focuses on delivering reliable, secure, and user‑friendly solutions for tools such as Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Slack, Zoom and Atlassian.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for enterprise collaboration platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and workflows to improve system reliability and user efficiency.
• Configure, manage, and optimize client‑side components of collaboration applications.
• Work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
• Monitor system performance proactively and identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct regular security and compliance assessments.
• Mentor junior team members and share best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovative enhancements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience supporting and engineering collaboration and productivity tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a user‑centric mindset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
