Collections Team Lead

About the role

The Collections Team Lead will coordinate collections analysts, provide operational support for escalations, and act as a backup for the manager. This role accelerates the ability of collectors to build strategic relationships with customers, understand business models, and improve cash flow.

Key responsibilities

• Own overall team metrics and performance, ensuring targets are met.
• Mentor and coach team members to resolve aged issues effectively.
• Maintain clear communication with internal and external partners.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert and frontline contact for the manager on team‑related matters.
• Conduct regular account reviews and lead escalation meetings.
• Provide feedback for training, monitor technical competence, and ensure proper use of collections systems.
• Maintain up‑to‑date contact lists for internal partners and foster strong relationships across functions.
• Promote team motivation, cohesion, and contribute to VIA score improvement actions.

• Strong leadership ability with experience onboarding and developing people.
• Proven track record of high performance and execution.
• Strategic mindset capable of anticipating and defining changes.
• In‑depth knowledge of collections processes.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for teamwork.
